If I was a Philippine Citizen can I become a Dual Citizen?

We got a question from Ricardo today,

Here’s what Ricardo had to say:

Hi,
I was born in the Philippines but now residing in Denmark, Europe as a Danish Citizen. I had a Philippine passport. Can i apply for a dual citizenship? Can my children be a citizen for both countries. They are 14 and 11 years old? Where can we apply for dual citizenship.
Regards,
Ricardo

Here’s what Bob had to say:

Hello Ricardo,

If you were formerly a Philippine Citizenship, you can most certainly apply for dual citizenship. Your children can be included in your application as well and become dual citizens too. You must do it before your children turn 18 years old, though, or they will not qualify.

You should apply for dual citizenship at the Philippine Embassy in Denmark.
