We got a question from Richell today,
Here’s what Richell had to say:
Good day to all of you. I would like to raise my question regarding my husband passport. We live here in UAE for almost 5 years now and we have 2 kids ( both of my kids are having Philippine passport). My husband is asking what he need to do to get a Philippine passport without leaving UAE. Our work are here so we can’t just leave and stay to Philippines for a couple of years but he really want to get a Philippine passport. Please help us on what we need to do.Thanks.
If your husband is Lebanese, he does not qualify under the Philippine Dual Citizenship law, there is only one way he can get a Philippine Passport, and that is to become a Philippine Citizen. In order to do that, he must live here for a minimum of 5 years before applying. He will need to speak one of the major Philippine languages (Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, etc), and meet other requirements as well. He will also have to renounce his Lebanese citizenship.
